Additionally, Emder Schiffsausrüstungs AG has been AEO certified
As of June 15, 2012, Emder Schiffsausrüstungs AG has received the status of authorized economic operator (AEO). Our company complies with certain regulations and safety requirements to qualify for simplified customs procedures.
Starting January 1, 2008, businesses located in the EU and involved in customs procedures may apply for AEO status with the aim to secure the international supply chain of a product from manufacturer to consumer. This would require worldwide recognition of the AEO status. So far Germany, Switzerland, Norway and Japan have signed up. Negotiations with other countries (most notably USA and China) are under way.
This certification does not expire in any of the membership states.
